John Clark, Jr.'s Wedding 4/6/02:
Our whole family including the Groom's aunt Genie Cook and cousin Edith Ann from North Carolina, all happily
attended this lovely and touching modern wedding. There was also a very sentimental and loving photo tribute of
pictures of both the bride and groom with their families, growing into the fine young people they are. Even a photo
of John when he was very tiny with his Grandpa Eugene Langford and his late grandmother, Ada Langford. This was a special
moment for those who remember Ada and how much she loved baby John.
The reception was held at the Mason American Legion Hall and featured a DJ, great food and an amazingly
beautiful wedding cake made by Beverly Clark, mother of the groom. Truly a labor of love and a complete masterpiece
of the baker's art -- it featured a basket weave design on the icing and a fountain. Most impressive! The
bride's sister and Maid of Honor made a touching speech in her toast -- which nearly made up for the best man's dubious honors
as All Time Most Appallingly Tasteless Wedding Toast -- but not quite. The lovely
Maid of Honor then followed that a little later by singing "From this Moment" to the newlyweds and did it very well.
